The building, located on Silvestru Street, illustrates best the genuine spirit of this restaurant, which is unaware by the meaning of the word “usual” regarding the interior decoration of a Chinese restaurant. For decoration, there are used elements from the Chinese culture: water, fire stone, wood, earth, signs and specific images- but all filtered through the European design. So, the results is a stylized interior, but styled too, with snugs that protects your privacy, but also with vast spaces, which are perfect for events or big groups. Our intention was to offer a complete culinary experience, by creating a proper atmosphere for serving an authentic Chinese menu, transforming the guests of “The Forbidden City” into spectators of the Chinese culture. The interior of the restaurant is formed by eight salons and the exterior by a covered large terrace. Keeping the basic idea, the terrace is also designed in a contemporaneous way, but it has all the specific elements of the Chinese culture. This way, the wood was processed and modeled to describe the delicate Chinese design, at the base standing the simple geometrical forms. We can find that the elements water, fire, stone, wood and earth were included as well.
The restaurant’s furniture includes the traditionally tables with rotating plates, but also tables with a smaller diameter, destined for privet meetings, formed by smaller groups.
